Aero Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 July 2026 · 日本語 · Deutsch

Aero (“the app”) teaches you to fold paper planes with step-by-step 3D guides. It is built by Adam Mierzwa (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data the app handles. The short version: Aero has no ads, no analytics SDKs, and no tracking. There is no account requirement, and what little leaves your device is attributed to a random identifier, not to you.

Data stored on your device

This data is stored locally using Apple’s standard on-device storage and is removed when you delete the app.

The plane catalog and likes

The app downloads its catalog of paper planes from our backend (hosted by Supabase). Downloading the catalog is an ordinary web request and does not include your name or any account data. If you like (upvote) a plane, the app sends the plane’s id together with the random device identifier so each device counts once. That is all a like contains. We cannot tell who you are from it.

Wind conditions (optional location)

Aero can show local wind conditions for your flights. If you allow location access (“while using the app”), your coordinates are used to request current weather from Apple’s WeatherKit service. Your location is used for that request and is not stored by us or sent to our own servers. If you decline, the app simply shows generic wind guidance, and nothing breaks.

Purchases (Aero Pro)

Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. To recognize your purchase across launches, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service, which receives your App Store receipt together with the random device identifier described above, not your name or email. RevenueCat acts as our processor for this purpose (their privacy policy).

Sign in with Apple (optional)

You can optionally sign in with Apple from the Profile tab. Today this stores the identifier Apple issues for you on your device only. We do not run user accounts on our servers and do not upload your name or email anywhere. Signing out removes the stored identifier.

Notifications

Folding reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. They involve no server and can be turned off in Settings at any time.

What we do not do

Aero contains no advertising SDKs and no analytics SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites, we do not build profiles, and we do not sell data.

Children

Aero is fun for all ages, but it is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Your rights

Almost everything lives on your device: deleting the app removes it. Likes stored on our backend are keyed to the random device identifier and contain no personal data; if you would like them removed anyway, email us and we will walk you through it. For any question or request about your data, we are happy to help.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, show a notice inside the app.
